Stuff I’ve Been Loving – December Edition

Stuff I've Been Loving - October Edition

Hi Everyone!! I thought I’ll talk about some of the stuff I’ve been loving recently as I haven’t done one of these in a while. Currently, I’m typing this on a Sunday morning in my PJs and haven’t even brushed my teeth yet.

A lot of these stuff I did receive from PR but was under no obligation to post about it. I have tried it for at least two months now and find them great products so decided to write about it.

Swisse Micellar Makeup Remover*

A few years ago the only Micellar Makeup remover on the market was Bioderma. Fast forward a few years later, almost every brand has their own version of Micellar makeup remover. I haven’t tried this with waterproof mascara so I don’t know how well it performs but it does remove all my eye makeup and foundation easily. The label on the bottle is a little deceiving because it says the makeup remover is fragrance-free but there is a heavy cucumber scent. I guess if you don’t like cucumbers then I wouldn’t advise you to get this. This product is free of synthetic fragrances, mineral oils, parabens, SLS, silicones and more.

Clay bead Necklace

I’ve been loving the clay bead trend recently and have started making a few necklaces myself. These are so easy to make, just buy the clay from an art store and mold it into whatever shape or size you like.

Rosehip Plus Organic Daily Cream Cleanser*

I’ve used the organic daily cream cleanser every morning for the past 2 months and have loved it. The texture is thick & creamy and does not leave your face feeling dry or tight after washing. The cleanser is made with 88% certified organic ingredients and is free of parabens, sulphates, artificial colours, petro chemicals or synthetic preservatives or synthetic fragrances.

Bioderma Sensibio Mask

I would say Bioderma is one of my favourite french skincare brands. I was introduced to Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution four years ago by a beauty blogger friend and have finished 4 bottles since. The Bioderma Sensibio Mask soothes dry tight skin and helps to combat redness. It is slightly thinner than a cream making it super easy to apply onto the face. I apply a thick layer and leave it on for about 20 mins. When I wash it off, my face feels smooth and hydrated. The mask is preservative-free and fragrance-free making it great for people like me with sensitive skin.

Skinstitut Enzymatic Micro Peel*

I was given a bottle of the Skinstitut Enzymatic Micro Peel while I was at the Australian Skin Clinics Emporium getting a Micro. Kat my beauty therapist recommended me this product as it’s good for sensitive skin. I alternate between this and the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Kat told me Enzymatic Micro Peel can be left longer than the recommended time on the bottle. I’ve left it on for an hour before and it pretty much melted away all my dry skin off. Leaving my face feeling ultra smooth. This peel contains Papaya extract, Chamomile Passionfruit & Grape seed oil and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3).

Pilot Frixion Pens*

I received these babies on my door step sometime in November. These pens contain thermo-sensitive ink that will disappear with friction. Meaning if you make a mistake, you simply just rub it out and start again. I call them magic pens, you won’t have to use fiddly white out again. I use these pens to write Christmas cards, random note taking or highlighting notes for work.

Beauty Essentials

Happy Wednesday! I’m not officially back yet. Heck.. I still don’t even have the internet set up at home. So much drama and stuff over something so little and it could now take another 3-4 months until I have something set up. When I can, I’ll borrow my parent’s internet and blog here and there. So today’s post, I will be talking about my beauty essentials. This is not my complete list of beauty essential products but these are on the top of my list. beauty essentials beauty essentials

Cleansing Brush – Using a cleansing brush regularly really helps with my overall complexion. It cleanses all the hard to reach places. My face feels so much smoother now and it even helps with applying makeup. My foundation goes on so much smoother and I end up using less product.

Sunscreen – Now that I’ve hit the big 3 0. I’m doing more to protect my skin. Sun exposure causes sunburn, premature skin aging (wrinkles) and skin cancer.

Rosehip Oil – Rosehip Oil was featured on my winter skincare routine post and I have also included it in this post – this is how much I love rosehip oil. As I mentioned in my previous post, it helps with my dry skin and evening out my skin tone. I always have a bottle sitting in my bathroom all year round.

Hair Oil – With my constant hair curling habits, I always use a hair oil to help protect and hydrate my hair. It also gives my hair the extra shine it needs.

Hand cream – Hand cream is a must for me, I have to use it. When I was moving houses a few weeks ago, I was really lazy and stopped using hand cream for like a week. It was a really bad mistake because my hands are now cracked and my cuticles are peeling (ouch).

Carmex Lip Balms – As soon as I wake up and before I go to bed, I always use a bit of lip balm. During the day, if my lips are dry, I’ll reapply.  lip balms should be in any girls beauty essential, use it day, night or anytime! It’s sold every 29 seconds around the world.  has been a beauty must have for 77 years and they do not test on animals.

Tell me – what are your beauty essentials?

This is a sponsored post. I received Carmex products as part of the blogger program.

My favourite makeup removers

My favourite makeup removers
Hi there! Lately, I’ve been on a mission to try out a range of makeup removers. I wanted to find something that could take off my makeup effortlessly without irritating my skin. These have been my favourites by far:

I first heard about Bioderma Crealine H20 through youtube and blogs. When I was at Salon Melbourne last month, the famous Rae Morris swore by this so I definitely had to try it. The areas around my eyes are quite sensitive. If I don’t remove my makeup properly, it starts to get really itchy. What I love the most about this remover is that it’s great for fixing up makeup around the eye area if you have made a mistake. This remover doesn’t leave a greasy film and is gentle enough to use daily.

Shiseido The Skincare Instant Eye and Lip Makeup Remover is a gentle dual-phase makeup remover that dissolves waterproof eye makeup and long wearing lipstick. I use this remover just for removing eye makeup. I soak a cotton pad and place it over my eyes for a few seconds and wipe off. This removes makeup very easy without tugging and does not cause any tightness around the eyes.

Shu Uemura

The Shu Uemura Fresh Pore Clarifying Gentle Cleansing Oil has been on my wishlist for a while. A couple of months ago, I finally made the leap and purchased it on Snet. A few pumps and your make up is melting off your face. I was a bit surprised, the oil is very thin like water. I would prefer it a bit thicker but not too heavy. Oil cleansers are great, they remove makeup so quick and easy. This doesn’t sting my eyes or irritate my skin and works great on waterproof makeup.
