Read Now: ‘Exude beauty, radiate love’ | RUSD’s new club teaches young girls about makeup and confidence

It doesn’t hurt for the outside to match the inside during a time when adolescence is important.

That is one of the messages of the Beauty Club, which is run by local business owners.

The Beauty Club at Gilmore, Jerstad-Agerholm, Mitchell and Starbuck middle schools teaches students how to do hair and nails, and even apply eyelashes and makeup. They will learn about self-confidence and inner beauty along the way.

Two weeks ago, the women told the 16 girls that they didn’t have this when they were kids. We wanted to bring it to you.

There is an emphasis on self-esteem.

In the first week of Beauty Club, students were told to create a vision board, cut up magazines, and paste images and phrases they found interesting on the topic of beauty and fashion.

They showed off their vision boards to their classmates as they walked across the room.

It was something that the two men did to encourage the other girls.

“We are all in this together,” he said.

The director of extended learning is Antonio Crane.

The Journal Times has a file photo.

The idea for the club came after middle school-aged girls expressed interest in learning more about beauty.

Crane wanted to implement a program that addressed young black and brown girls’ social, emotional and learning support concerns. Crane noted that The Beauty Club is inclusive of all.

Crane said that the club was created to give them an opportunity to accentuate and elevate the beauty that they already possess. Everything around them gets better when they feel better.

In middle school, kids are still discovering their identity while their appearances are changing, which can be a sensitive time for one’s self-esteem and self-perception.

We let them know that it is safe. We are creating a group of girls.

The Beauty Club hopes to open students minds to careers in beauty services.

The two have been friends since high school and have recently reconnected in support of each other’s businesses.

The girls in the club look up to her and it makes her feel good. You can do it all. I am a business owner because I am a wife and a mom. I am beautiful, I love.

She said that people don’t understand how much inclusion and seeing someone that looks like you builds us for the person we become.

Robinson said that she was a person who had all of the things society works against. She is a member of the community.

Robinson said her little girl is so herself. I don’t think I knew who I was when I was young. I didn’t have a person who was helping me come into myself and realize I was beautiful, my hair was beautiful.

She said that they wanted to help at least one girl who is a part of this, inspire them to go out and do whatever they want to do.

The Beauty Club is open to any middle school students in the area, so there is a waiting list of students from inside and outside the RUSD. Only 16 students from each of the middle schools were allowed to be in the club.

Crane said that the club will run until the middle of May, with a special event to mark the students’ “graduation” from the program.

The event will be a fashion show and exhibition where all four clubs will come together and showcase what they have learned to the public.
